People have a misconception regarding Jihad. People only think that only Islam only speaks about Jihad and in other scripture their in no concept about Jihad. But if you read the Bible, it is mention in Holy Bible ,Gospel of Luke, Chapter-22, Verse-36 "And he that hath no sword let him sell his garment ,and buy one.". It is also mentioned in Book of Exodus ,Chapter-32, Verse-27 "And he said to them ,Thus said the Lord God of Isreal, put every man his sword by his side and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp ,and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion and every man his neighbor." and also Numbers, chapter-31, Verse-1 to 19 as Book of Exodus ,Chapter-22, Verse-18 to 20. In Hinduism also speaks about Jihad. If u read Bhagavad Gita ,Chapter 2 verse 37“O son of Kunti, either you will be killed in the battlefield and attain the heavenly planets (paradise), or you will conquer and enjoy the earthly kingdom, therefore get up and fight with determination”. In hole Bhahavad Gita describes about Jihand (fighting and killing).It put the Quran into Shame. I would like to say before mentioning about Jihad that no Muslim is a Muslim if we doesn't believe in Jihad. Quran mention in several places regarding Jihad .Allah says in Sura Al-Baquarah, Chapter-2, Verse-216 "Jihad is ordained for u eventhough you dislike that it may be that you dislike a think is good for you and that you may like a think is bad for u. Allah know but you do not know. " .Allah says in Sura At-Tauba ,Chapter-9, Verse-24"Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the commerce in which you fear a decline, and the dwellings in which you delight … are dearer to you than Allâh and His Messenger, and striving hard and fighting in His Cause, then wait until Allâh brings about His Decision (torment). And Allâh guides not the people who are Al-Fâsiqûn (the rebellious, disobedient to Allâh). ". I am just giving u the reference that Allah also says in Sura Al-Hajj, Chapter-22, Verse-78 as well as Sura Al-Furkan, Chapter-25, Verse-52 about Jihad. If we read our sacred scripture with understanding it will help us to come in a common platform. And Allah teaches us, Muslims how we will do this thing, Allah says in Glorious Quran,Sura Al-Imaran, Chapter-3, Verse-64 "Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allâh.".Allah also says in Sura An-Nahal ,Chapter-16, Verse-125 " Invite (mankind, O Muhammad SAW) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islâm) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'ân) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. ".Therefore it is duty upon every Muslim that he or she will strive to remove the misconception regarding Islam.
