The trial of war criminals of Bangladesh Liberation War is in progress in the full swing. The whole nation is waiting for the successful end of this trial. It is understood that this is a long process but good thing is that process has started. Though challenging, this trial should be perused till it ends. Point to note that this is not any party’s political agenda; rather this has become the responsibility of the nation to ensure proper trial of war criminals. People from different sectors expressed their satisfaction over the event. Unfortunately a faction of the society is still debating/ arguing on the justification of the trial after 40 years from independence. But facts remain, without proper trial of identified and known war criminals nation can not be united.  Any nation to achieve expected development, enforcement of justice takes the front seat.   Besides many priority long term development projects, government is determined to ensure the world standard trial of war criminals-committed crimes against humanity.  This trial should not be to victimize somebody; it should ensure proper justice in the society and freeing the nation from single most important liabilities. With relentless effort by some social groups and increasing awareness of the new generation regarding the liberation war make the trial possible. We expect the trial must be a fair one, transparent and of international standard. The accused also should fight the case legally but in no way violence should be expected. Whole nation must be united so that no interested group can jeopardize this tral.
