A few months ago, I and my wife were in a car on the way from Elephant road BATA signal to Newmarket. The car was just passing Longla turning, we were afraid at sudden aggression of about 30/40 young peoples with sticks and broken bricks etc.on the moving vehicles. Actually traffic were moving very slowly because of jam, hence those attacking peoples could easily break and destroy wind shield and window glasses of several mini buses and cars. Some passengers were injured. We were very fortunate that they could do no harm to our car. Everything was happened in a couple of minutes. But what was the reason behind it? After sometime we could know that there was a clash between Dhaka College students and hawkers of Nilkhet market one hour earlier. Then Dhaka College students were taking revenge. Alas, they were not taking revenge on right peoples! Innocent peoples and buses/cars only were victimized of their attack. That was not fair and very painful indeed. That was not the only event, such are happening frequently in our country, first target of any revenge are innocent peoples, private and public properties. Should we not stop it?
